Canada's Toronto Shootings Kill One, Injure Four - Police

At least one man has been killed and four other injured in a series of shootings in one of Canada's largest cities, Toronto, local police said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Three separate shootings all across the city occurred on Sunday and killed a young man, while three men and a woman, presumably in their 20s, were injured, two of them in serious condition, police told the CP24 broadcaster.

Initially there were no fatalities, as one was rushed to hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, but was pronounced dead later, according to the police

All the injured had been taken to hospital for treatment.

"Multiple people" were arrested in connection with the incidents near the shooting area. The police could not yet say if the separate shootings are connected somehow. The investigation is currently underway.
