Iranian President Hassan Rouhani welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping in a first state visit by a Chinese head of state in nearly a decade and a half on Saturday.

China Ready to Enhance Strategic Cooperation With Iran for Joint Prosperity
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Xi arrived in Tehran late on Friday. He is expected to sign 17 trade documents with Rouhani.

Rouhani said at a press conference broadcast by state television that Iran’s trade with China would increase by $600 billion over the next decade.

Xi's two-day visit to Tehran follows his trips to Egypt and Saudi Arabia to meet the leadership of these countries and to discuss economic and political cooperation.
