Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Mohammed Attiyah said that Qatar and Russia have a real desire to strengthen cooperation and achieve stability on the energy market.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Qatar and Russia will strive for stability on the energy market, Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Mohammed Attiyah said Monday.

"Both sides have a real desire to strengthen cooperation and achieve stability on the energy market," Attiyah said following a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and and Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the meeting, the leaders also noted "the need to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in liquefied gas trade," according to the minister.
