Terrorist attacks in the Indonesian capital were financed from Syria, Indonesian National Police chief Gen. Badrodin Haiti said Friday, after Daesh terrorist group active in Syria claimed responsibility for the Jakarta blasts.

BALI (Sputnik) — Jakarta police chief Tito Karnavian said Thursday that Daesh, which has been expanding its influence in the world in recent years, had started to spread into Southeast Asia.

"Our investigations showed that the funds [were] actually received from there," Detik news portal quoted Haiti as saying.
