Passenger Car Sales in Russia Drop by 30% in 2015

The sales of passenger cars in Russia dropped by 30 percent while passenger car production fell by 24 percent in 2015, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the minister, production of passenger cars in Russia in 2016 is estimated at the same level as in 2015, while sales are expected to drop even further, by five percent.

"Production dropped by 24 percent, while sales — by some 30 percent," Manturov told reporters.
