Daesh Threatened Indonesia With Attacks Prior to Jakarta Blasts
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A series of blasts hit the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on Thursday morning, leading to multiple victims. According to the police, some of the attacks were carried out by suicide bombers.

"We are pursuing the network of assailants, namely the Islamic State [Daesh] network," Inspector General Tito Karnavian said, as quoted by the VIVA news outlet.

Karnavian added that Daesh terror group, which has been expanding its influence in the world in recent years, had started to spread into Southeast Asia.

Such expansion was ordered by their leader, Abu Bakr Baghdadi, the police chief added.
