WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States is facing a new war in Iraq and should take steps to better assist Iraqi security forces, US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Commander John Kelly told reporters on Friday.
"We have a new war on our hands," Kelly stated. "If we want the Iraqis to get good enough to fight this fight, I believe that we have to reinforce them in terms of not only the equipment, but as well as advisory capability."
