The prime minister also expressed sympathy for those affected by the flood during the Christmas holidays.

Earlier this month, Storm Desmond brought record amounts of rain to UK's Cumbria, bringing several bouts of floods to the region.
According to the BBC news portal, northern England is now expecting Storm Eva to hit after it affected over 2,000 homes in Ireland.
