MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Belgium's police have made its ninth arrest in connection with the November Paris attacks, local media said Thursday.
The suspect, a Belgian citizen, was arrested on Tuesday, the Flemish De Standaard newspaper reported, stating that the information was confirmed by the federal prosecutor.
On Thursday, the suspect, named Abdoullah C., appeared at a court hearing alongside Lazez Abraimi, a fellow suspect that was arrested last month. A court decision is due to be taken later today, the report said.
On November 13, extremists carried out a series of coordinated attacks at various locations in the French capital, killing 130 people and injuring over 350 others. Many of the attack's perpetrators have been found to be Belgian residents. The Islamic State (IS, or Daesh in Arabic) claimed responsibility for the attacks. The organization is outlawed in many countries, including Russia.
