"According to the concept of the drill, a simulated group of terrorists tried to enter a combat vehicle depot and mine boxes with military equipment," the statement read.
The servicemen also practised blocking and destroying a simulated group of sabotage and reconnaissance. The sappers inspected military facilities for improvised explosive devices planted by the diversion group, according to the statement.
Over 100 servicemen and 10 units of military equipment were involved in the drill. The district will also called counterterrorism drills with the interior and emergencies ministries, as well as the Federal Security Service.
