MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to Dunya TV, the security forces, relying on the intelligence data, began on Monday a search operation for the suspected militants in the Balochistan province.

In the course of the raid, the forces discovered a compound, which was used as a militants' hideout. The latter responded with crossfire, the local television said.

The area is a center of an ongoing conflict between local nationalists and the Pakistani government. Awaran district is among the most troubled areas of the province, since separatist groups often carry out attacks on local government facilities, as well as on representatives of the security forces.
