KIEV (Sputnik) – He also said that the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, was set to vote on the amendments to the constitution, including those regarding the Donbas region and decentralization of power, in the near future.

"[The reset] will happen because not all ministers meet the criteria the Ukrainian society expects them to meet," Poroshenko said.

Kiev continues its attempts to battle corruption. In July, Transparency International, a non-governmental organization that monitors and publicizes corporate and political corruption, released a report saying that Ukraine had not progressed in its fight against corruption. In December 2014, the organization ranked Ukraine at the bottom five among most corrupt Eastern European and Central Asian states, and lowest in Europe.

The decentralization of power in Ukraine is aimed at providing wider autonomy to the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. The measure was stipulated in the Minsk agreements on Ukraine's reconciliation signed by Kiev and Donbas representatives in February. Under the agreement, reforms to the Ukrainian Constitution are to be passed before the end of 2015.
