Iran has carried out another test of a ballistic missile, allegedly violating two UN Security Council resolutions, media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Fox News television channel’s Monday report, citing a senior US defense official, Tehran tested the missile on November 21 not far from the Pakistani border. The missile has a range of some 1,200 miles and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, the media outlet reported.

The channel claims that Iran had violated resolutions 1929 and 2231, which seek to curtail Iran’s activities involving ballistic missiles.

On July 14, Iran and a group of six international mediators – Russia, the United States, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany – signed an historic deal to guarantee the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief.

In October, Iran test-fired a new surface-to-surface Emad (Pillar) missile. The White House later said that the test was not in violation of the nuclear deal, but constituted an infringement on the UN resolution.
