"The IAF targeted a Hamas position overnight in response to recent shooting attacks targeting IDF forces on the border with Gaza," the IDF posted on its Twitter account.
No injuries were reported in Monday's strike.
Israel has repeatedly accused the Palestinian Hamas movement, classified as a terrorist organization by a number of countries including Israel, the United States, Egypt and EU member states, of bombing Israel from the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli government refuses to recognize the State of Palestine as an independent diplomatic entity, while the latter seeks recognition and lays claim to the territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, which were seized by Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War.
