WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States would consider a formal Russian proposal to form a broader anti-terrorism coalition, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said in a Thursday press conference.
“We would certainly look at it,” Toner stated, adding that the current US-led coalition against the Daesh is functioning effectively.
In a major Thursday speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a united anti-terrorist front based in international law, and acting under UN auspices.
