WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States rejects and sees zero evidence to support allegations that the Turkish government has been collaborating with the Islamic State, also known as Daesh, to smuggle oil across its borders, US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said on Wednesday.
“We reject outright the premise that the Turkish government is in league with ISIL [Daesh] to smuggle oil across its borders," Toner stated. "We frankly see no evidence, none, to support such an accusation."
