RT began broadcasting from a Moscow studio on December 10, 2005. In ten years it transformed from a single TV channel into a global broadcasting network with over 700 million viewers in more than a hundred countries. RT broadcasts in English, Spanish and Arabic, and additionally provides online content in Russian, German and French. RT earned first prize in the Monte Carlo TV Festival in the Best 24-Hour News Programme category, and is the only Russian TV channel to be nominated three times for the International Emmy Awards in the News category. It is also the Number 1 news network on YouTube with over 3 billion views.

"Ten years is a short time for an international TV news channel. Most of our competitors have been broadcasting for decades, but despite this "age gap" we have managed to beat them in key broadcast markets, as well as become a leader in the Internet space where the most heated battle for viewers is currently being waged," RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.

"RT’s success shows how tired the world is of the one-sided narrative, and how great the demand is for an alternative point of view. We will discuss all of this, along with the realities of our constantly changing world, at the RT Conference on December 10,” she added.

The conference will be held at the Metropol Hotel Moscow on December 10, 2015. The conference’s program and other information about the event can be found on the official website.
