French Police Free 7 People in Paris Attacks Case, 1 Still Detained

Seven people were released in Paris on Saturday after they were held for four days on suspicion of involvement in the terror attacks that killed 130 last week, the French prosecution said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A total of eight people were apprehended on Wednesday during a huge police raid in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis.

Jawad Bendaoud, the man who rented his apartment to the terror ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud and two co-plotters, remains in custody, according to the Ouest-France newspaper.

The three terror suspects were killed in the seven-hour police raid. Salah Abdeslam, a suspect thought to have rented a car used in the gun and bomb assaults in Paris, is still at large.

At least 130 people were killed and over 350 injured in suicide bombings and shootings near a football stadium, a concert hall and restaurants in the French capital on November 13.
