The French Navy’s nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle sailed Wednesday from Toulon naval base, south of France, and headed for the eastern Mediterranean to support the allies fighting against ISIL.

The importance of the sailing for France can hardly be overestimated in the light of the last week's terrorist attacks, as French President François Hollande has vowed to punish ISIL forces which claimed responsibility for the killings.
