Belgian, French Interior Ministers to Discuss Counter-Terrorism Measures
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — French President Francois Hollande met with lawmakers on Sunday to discuss extending the state of emergency, which was announced in France after the Friday night terror attacks, the Senate president said.

"An extension of the state of emergency beyond two days needs to be endorsed by the Parliament," Gerard Larcher told reporters. "This issue was specifically discussed at the meeting with the President of the Republic."

Both houses of the French parliament, called the Congress, are expected to hold debates on Monday, three days after a series of terrorist attacks hit Paris and prompted the president to put the country on high terror alert.
