Divers Get Thrilling Close Encounter With Great White Shark

How close is too close when it comes to encounters with a shark? Divers in this clip got a much closer encounter with the sea predator than they ever expected.

As seen in the video, a shark chases a string of bait into the underwater cage protecting the underwater thrill seekers. The animal’s mouth comes within centimeters of the divers, with its teeth locked around one of the cage's bars. As one of the group’s members later commented in an interview with Australian reporters, "it was not too scary because it happened so fast, and then it was pretty exhilarating."
