CAIRO (Sputnik) — The decoding of the one of the black boxes of the Russia-operated Airbus A321 that crashed in Egypt’s Sinai desert has not yet proven that a terrorist attack could have taken place on board, a source close to the technical commission told Al-Ahram news portal Saturday.

"The investigation has not confirmed the presence of any explosive device on board," the source was quoted as saying.
According to the source, the decoding of a second black box that was recording the talks between the crew and the airport control tower continues.
On October 31, an Airbus A321 operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. All 224 people on board were killed. The crash has become the largest civil aviation disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
