The Normandy Four foreign ministers will meet in Berlin on November 6 to hold talks on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Sawsan Chebli said a meeting would take place on Friday afternoon.

"[Russian Foreign Minister] Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to participate in the Normandy format meeting in Berlin on November 6," Zakharova said.

The Normandy Four was created in 2014 to secure a peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. In February, the quartet leaders worked out a Minsk peace deal, later signed by Kiev forces and militias of the eastern Ukrainian Donbas region.
