CAIRO(Sputnik) — Rescue workers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will continue the search operation at the site of the Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt that killed all 224 people on board for at least another two days, the head of the Russian rescue HQ in Cairo said Tuesday.
"In order to finish work here, the rescuers will need an extra day or two," Vladimir Svetelsky, a department head at the emergencies ministry said.
On October 31, an Airbus A321, operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia, crashed in the Sinai Peninsula while flying from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg.
