MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On September 30, Russia launched airstrikes against terrorist targets in Syria at the request from Syrian President Bashar Assad.
"Our goal in Syria or anywhere else is, first and foremost, the fight against terrorism," Putin said at a meeting with Dagestan scholars and public activists.
Putin also emphasized that any attempts to scare Russia would be futile.
