The working group of the government commission on the deadly crash of a Russian airliner in Egypt established its work plan for the operations at the site of the tragedy, deputy head of Russia's Emergencies Ministry Vladimir Stepanov said Sunday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Saturday, the Russian airliner, carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All people on board, including 25 children, were confirmed dead by Russian and Egyptian authorities.

"A clear program of action has been agreed. To date, a work plan for the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on the crash of the Russian plane has been created," Stepanov said during the working group's meeting.

The government commission was established shortly after the tragedy.

The commission closely cooperates with a wide range of national government agencies, including the Ministry of Transport, Foreign Ministry, the Interstate Aviation Committee, the Federal Air Transport Agency, as well as the Russian Embassy in Cairo, according to the Emergencies Ministry.

As many as four Russian Emergencies Ministry planes headed for Cairo in connection with the tragedy. The Russian authorities cooperate with Egypt on the Kogalymavia airliner’s crash.
