MOSCOW (Sputnik) The Airbus company would provide all the necessary technical support to the authorities, involved in the investigation of Russian Kogalymavia airliner crash in Egypt, the statement published on the website of the Russian branch of Airbus company said Saturday.

“In line with ICAO [International Civil Aviation Organization] annex 13, an Airbus go-team of technical advisers stands-by ready to provide full technical assistance to the French Investigation Agency – BEA – and to the Authorities in charge of the investigation,” the statement said.

Earlier in the day, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry said that Russian A-320 airliner en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to Saint Petersburg disappeared from radar screens at 5:21 a.m. local time (03:21 GMT) 23 minutes after take-off.

The Russian Transport Ministry said that there were 217 passengers and 7 crew members on board, while the Russian embassy in Egypt said there were 212 passengers on board.
