The release includes information on a special agent, Donovan J. Leighton, who worked with the FBI's Middle East team in 2008. The other document is a list of contacts, labeled by WikiLeaks as "a currently unidentified group."
It is unclear why Leighton's biography ended up in Brennan's personal email.
The contacts list, dated 2008 as well, includes the full names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, Social Security numbers and recent employment information of 22 people.
In 2008, Brennan was running a private intelligence and analysis company, The Analysis Corp (TAC). Brennan donated to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, which hired TAC as a security adviser.
The contact list may have been tracking prospects for the presidential transition team, which was being assembled by Brennan as part of TAC's contract with the Obama campaign.
Following Obama's presidential victory, Brennan was appointed assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism. He became CIA director in March 2013.
Several other names on the list match up with the names of the Obama transition staff.
This is the third batch of information from Brennan's AOL account WikiLeaks has made public. The other leaks included the addresses of Brennan's relatives and his passport number. A self-described hacker identified as CWA on Twitter also put a list of contacts reportedly from the AOL account on the social media site last week.
The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the hack.
