EU Adopts Legal Framework to Lift Iran Sanctions
VIENNA (Sputnik) — Iran is expected to make arrangements ahead of the "adoption day" of Tehran's deal with the P5+1 group of international negotiators, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. It was reached in July after years of talks. In return, Tehran will have most of the sanctions in place against it lifted.

"We will speed it up, we expect to get ready for the ‘adoption day’ by the end of the year," Araghchi assured journalists after the first meeting of a committee overseeing the deal’s implementation.

The senior diplomat added that Iran could start dismantling its centrifuges, needed to make enriched uranium, in the coming days.

Iran has agreed to reduce its stock of enriched uranium, decrease the number of centrifuges in the country and reconfigure the heavy-water reactor at Arak. The deal's implementation is being overseen by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
