South Africa Justice Department Suspends Release of Pistorius
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The South African Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius was released from prison and placed under house arrest, a South African Department of Justice and Correctional Services spokesman Manelisi Wolela said.

Pastroius, who was sentenced to five years in prison for the murder of partner Reeva Steenkamp in October 2014, was set to be paroled in mid-August, but the decision was suspended by the South African authorities.

Pistorius will remain under house arrest and correctional supervision for four years, the CNN reported Monday.
