Russia’s Isolation Was ‘Torn to Pieces’

Pushkov responded to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s statement saying that Russia’s isolation is over.

Stoltenberg: Isolating Russia 'Not Good' for NATO and World Stability
Head of the foreign affairs committee in the State Duma Alexei Pushkov said that there is no isolation of Russia, commenting on the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Earlier Stoltenberg stated that Russia’s isolation wouldn’t be good for the global  peace and stability He also added that such issues as the war in Syria cannot be resolved without Russia’s involvement.

Pushkov responded to Stoltenberg’s statement, publishing a post on his twitter account.

“Something new by the NATO Secretary General: 'isolation of Russia is not good for world stability and peace.' Everything’s right, but let it be known: there is no isolation, it has been torn to pieces,” Peskov wrote.

After UN General Assembly speech late September, Russian President Vladimir Putin held meetings with a number of leaders, including US President Barack Obama. Later that week, he participated in the Normandy Four talks on Ukraine.

Moreover, the Russian president is holding meetings with many foreign officials every week, including the latest meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Saudi ministers on Sunday.
