Clinton’s a ‘Liar,’ Sanders a ‘Socialist,’ Biden an ‘Idiot’: Latest Polls - Sputnik International
A new poll conducted by USA Today/Suffolk University had voters describe Democratic presidential candidates in one word. Topping the list for Bernie Sanders? “Socialist,” while frontrunner Hillary Clinton is, for many, a “liar.”

While voters like Vice President Joe Biden — who has not even announced that he is running for the presidency — they also think he is an “idiot.”

Clinton’s word-of-the-day was "liar/dishonest," followed by "untrustworthy/fake."  When asked about Sanders, the most frequent response was "socialist," with "favorable/good" coming in second.  For the vice president, to be fair, the top response was "favorable/like," followed by "honest/honorable," but the top five also included "idiot/joke.”

While Clinton has retained her frontrunner status, she no longer holds the majority vote as Sanders and Biden — again, who is not even running yet — are quickly gaining ground.

Clinton currently holds 41% of the vote, while Sanders has 23%, and 20% go to Biden, should he choose to run.

"I support Hillary Clinton for a lack of any other real option," William Sather, 41, who one of those polled, told USA Today. "Bernie is swell and all, but I don't quite think he's electable."

He is also worried about Clinton’s electability however, noting, "she's a terrific leader, it's just, I can understand there's a lot of gut-level hatred of her."

Others expressed their concerns about Clinton during follow-up interviews as well.

"Trust is a huge thing when it comes to politics, (and) she's lost that trust," Anthony Edelen, 37, a small-business owner, told USA Today.

The poll questioned 1,000 likely voters, was taken by phone Sept. 24-28, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, while the sample of 430 Democrats has an error margin of +/- 5 points.
