According to the US Geological Survey, the aftershock occurred roughly 28 miles west of Illapel, near last week’s quake. While reverberations were reportedly felt in the capital of Santiago, there are no reports of injuries or damage at this time.
Last week’s earthquake killed 13 and put large stretches of Pacific coastlines on alert for possible tsunamis.
