Lamb reportedly told police who had been in contact with him that he "will not go to jail."
The alleged shooter’s victim is Ethan Schmidt, assistant professor of American history at DSU. The man has also being sought in connection to the early Monday death of Amy Prentiss in the southern Mississippi town of Gautier, identified by Lamb on his social media as his girlfriend.
William LaForge, DSU president, lifted the campus lockdown in a message posted on his Twitter account following the news.
