The death toll from Saturday’s plane crash during an air show in West Sussex, southern Britain, might rise to eleven, local police said Sunday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to earlier reports, seven people were confirmed dead and 15 others injured after the Hawker Hunter plane crashed on Saturday on the A27 road near the Shoreham-by-Sea town.

The road will remain closed for several days to allow recovery work and investigation, the police said.

This is not the first deadly accident that happened at Shoreham Air Show. In 2007, a World War II Hurricane crashed during the reenactment of the Battle of Britain.

Earlier on Sunday, two plane collided during an air show in northern Switzerland, killing one person.
