Two Policemen Injured as Anti-Migrant Clashes Resume in Germany

At least two police officers were hurt in an attack against a refugee shelter by far-right radicals in the German eastern town of Heidenau, local media reported Sunday, citing police officials.

BERLIN (Sputnik) — In the early hours of Sunday, some 150 radicals attacked security cordons guarding the shelter, which has recently been set up in Heidenau to accommodate refugees.

The protesters were hurling bottles and firecrackers. The number of those detained during the clashes is not immediately available.
