The footage was captured by Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries. Skomal was working with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, when the shark suddenly leaps from under the water, and battles the seal in mid-air. What's even more incredible is that the seal somehow managed to escape the attack.
The seal can be seen swiping its tail at the great white, before evading the attack and disappearing into the ocean.
