The disclosure published on Abadi’s website comes amid recently announced reforms that include abolishing three deputy prime ministerial and three vice presidential posts.

On Tuesday, the Iraqi parliament unanimously adopted the prime minister’s first package of reforms aiming to overhaul government bureaucracy.

The package of measures seeks to reduce spending and fight corruption as Baghdad grapples with a struggling economy and the war against the Islamic State jihadist group.
