Saudi Arabia Backs Political Settlement in Syria Without Assad

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Saudi Arabia will not support the creation of a coalition with the Syrian authorities in the fight against terrorism, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir said Tuesday.

“In regard to a coalition where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian government could possibly participate together is out of the question. This is not in our plans,” Jebeir said during a joint press conference in Moscow with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
