Expanded US Sanctions Against Russia to Come Into Force August 10

Expanded sanctions announced by the United States on July 30 and targeting Russian and Ukrainian citizens and companies will come in force on August 10, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said Saturday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On July 30, the United States announced it had imposed additional sanctions on Russian individuals and entities.

"The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing the names of sixty-one persons whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to one or more of the following authorities: Executive Order (E.O.) 13660, E.O. 13661, and E.O. 13685, or who are subject to the prohibitions of one or more directives under E.O. 13662.," OFAC said in a document due to be published on August 10.
