MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir will visit Moscow in mid-August to discuss with his Russian counterpart the visit of Saudi King Salman scheduled for the end of 2015, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Sunday.
In July, Riyadh agreed to invest some $10 billion to the Russian economy within the next 4-5 years.
"This is the first visit of the minister to Russia. The Saudi foreign minister will meet with Russian Foreign Minister [Sergei] Lavrov. The sides will discuss pressing topics on bilateral agenda, as well as international issues. The ministers will also discuss the King of Saudi Arabia’s visit to Russia, which is scheduled for the end of this year," Bogdanov said.
Moscow and Riyadh maintain high-profile ties despite the reshuffle in the Saudi leadership following the death of King Abdullah in January.
