Six Residential Buildings Evacuated Over Fire in New Jersey

At least six residential complexes were evacuated in the US city of North Brunswick, New Jersey, as a massive fire sparked in a nearby warehouse on Wednesday, a representative of the local fire department said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The five-alarm blaze at the warehouse complex shut down several roadways in the area, Chief Don Salzman at the North Brunswick Fire Department said as cited by PIX11 news channel.

According to the official, one firefighter sustained a hand injury. No civilians had been hurt, he added.

Over 150 firefighters have responded to the scene, according to the broadcaster. The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.

A large plume of smoke from the warehouse fire could be seen from at least 15 miles away, according to local media reports.
