MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to an earlier statement on the FOJ website, the unnamed FIFA official agreed to extradition July 9 and the process was immediately approved in a simplified procedure.

The suspect was arrested along with six other high-ranking FIFA officials in Switzerland on May 27 on a US federal corruption warrant.

The US Justice Department’s indictment charges nine FIFA officials and five corporate executives with racketeering and money laundering. The suspects are accused of receiving some $150 million in bribes.
