Russia and Latin American nations can cooperate in technology-intensive manufacturing, changing the very nature of relations between the countries, Rostec Corporation CEO Sergei Chemezov said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Chemezov, cooperation is possible in sought-after areas, including air traffic control systems, e-government systems, port infrastructure, the automotive industry, electronics and biopharmaceutical development.

"Cooperation with Russia in the high-technology sphere will let Argentina and other Latin American countries make a huge leap forward in the development of local technological competencies," Chemezov wrote in an opinion piece published by the Brazilian Correio Brasiliense newspaper Tuesday.
