The first diesel-electric submarines of the Project 636 will join Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in 2015, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the ministry, in 2015 both ships will arrive in their permanent base in the city of Novorossiysk.

"Currently, the first two diesel-electric submarines of Project 636 — Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don – have completed preparations for the transition to the Black Sea Fleet after successful completion of the program of the weapons systems tests in the Northern Fleet,” the statement reads.
