A suicide car bomb killed at least 18 people in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, near a base where US and other NATO mission soldiers are stationed, AFP reported.
No group has thus far claimed responsibility for the bombing and it is unknown if foreign troops are among the dead and wounded. A similar suicide attack on the base in 2009 killed multiple CIA officers and contractors.
