WARSAW (Sputnik) — There is no schedule for withdrawing the license of Poland’s FM broadcaster Radio Hobby, which may be a political response for airing Sputnik News Agency radio programs, a spokeswoman for the Polish broadcasting authority said Wednesday.
"The National Broadcasting Council of Poland has initiated the procedure to cancel the broadcasting license. We are awaiting explanations from Radio Hobby’s managers and will decide on our further actions afterwards. I have no information on the schedule for reviewing the case," Izabela Wojciechowska told RIA Novosti.
Station director Tomasz Brzezinski earlier denied a claim by the Polish broadcasting authority that Radio Hobby management had no knowledge of the contents of Sputnik shows, saying the staff listened to all broadcast materials an hour before airtime.
