DONETSK (Sputnik) — The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) will ask the UN Security Council to create an international tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the humanitarian law breaches in southeastern Ukraine, LPR leader Igor Plotnitsky said Wednesday.

"Donetsk People's Republic and Lugansk People's Republic are turning to the United Nations Security Council with a request of creation of an international tribunal for prosecution of persons responsible for violating international humanitarian law and crimes against humanity in Ukraine," Plotnitsky said.
