08:48 GMT 29.06.2015 (Updated: 09:06 GMT 29.06.2015) A large explosion on Monday morning in eastern Cairo left Egyptian Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat Baltfjar injured.
CAIRO (Sputnik) – Egyptian media earlier reported an explosion in the Heliopolis region of Cairo and that it was targeted against Baltfjar’s motorcade in an assassination attempt.
The extent of the prosecutor general's injuries have not been determined.
