Secret Service, SEC Hunting for Wall Street Hackers
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — In early June 2015, OPM confirmed that their network had been hacked, compromising the personal data of millions of current and former US federal employees.

The hacker is believed to have stayed inside the network from approximately December 2014 to April 2015, according to reports from OPM.

“That [China] is the leading suspect,” Clapper said when asked to clarify whether China was the perpetrator of the massive government cyber theft.

The White House has yet to attribute the cyber theft to any actor, noting that the investigation is still ongoing.
